Problem

You want to use different button setups, DPI settings, or lighting configurations for different games or applications—and quickly switch between them.

Solution

Using Logitech G Hub, you can create multiple profiles for your G502 and switch between them manually or automatically based on which program is running.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Open Logitech G Hub

2. Create a New Profile

  1. Click the active profile name in the top center of the G Hub window
  2. Click “Add New Profile”
  3. Name your profile (e.g., “Valorant,” “Excel,” “Video Editing”)
  4. Optionally assign it to an app or game:
    • Click the dropdown > Assign Application
    • Browse for the EXE file or select from running programs

This lets G Hub switch profiles automatically when that program is active.

3. Customize the Profile

For each profile, you can configure:

FeatureWhat You Can Do
Button AssignmentsAssign hotkeys, macros, system functions
DPI SettingsCreate a unique DPI configuration
LightingApply different RGB effects or colors
Polling RateSet to 125Hz–1000Hz for each profile (advanced use)

Changes are stored per profile and do not affect others.

4. Switching Between Profiles

Automatically (Recommended):

  • If you assigned the profile to an app, G Hub will switch when that app is focused

Manually:

  • Click the profile name at the top of G Hub and select another
  • Or, assign a button to the Cycle Profile command to switch on the fly

5. Use Onboard Memory (Optional)

To store profiles on the mouse:

  1. Go to the Onboard Memory tab in G Hub
  2. Click + to create a hardware-stored profile
  3. Drag your desired profile into one of the onboard slots

Stored profiles work without G Hub, but may have limited functionality (e.g., no macros, limited lighting).

Notes

  • You can create unlimited software profiles in G Hub
  • Most models support up to 5 onboard profiles
  • G Hub shows which profile is active via the colored ring on the top menu bar
