Problem

You want to erase all custom profiles, DPI settings, lighting effects, and button assignments from your G502 and return it to its original factory configuration.

Solution

The G502 can be reset using either a manual button combination (for onboard memory) or by resetting your G Hub profiles and device settings. The method depends on whether you’re using onboard memory or software profiles.

Option 1: Hard Reset (Onboard Memory Reset)

This clears settings stored directly on the mouse itself.

Steps:

  1. Unplug the G502 (wired) or turn off the power (wireless)
  2. Hold down the following buttons simultaneously:
    • Left Click
    • Right Click
    • DPI Up (next to scroll wheel)
  3. While holding these, plug the mouse back in or turn the switch back on
  4. Hold the buttons for 5–10 seconds, then release

This clears all onboard profiles and restores DPI, polling rate, and lighting to default.

Option 2: Reset via Logitech G Hub

If you’re using software-managed profiles, you can reset them in G Hub.

Steps:

  1. Open Logitech G Hub
  2. Click your G502 mouse from the device list
  3. Go to the gear icon ⚙️ > Profiles
  4. Delete all custom profiles or click “Restore Defaults”
  5. In each tab (Assignments, DPI, LIGHTSYNC), look for a Reset to Default or “Clear” option

Option 3: Remove All G Hub Data (Full Software Reset)

To completely reset G Hub and start fresh:

  1. Uninstall Logitech G Hub:
    • Settings > Apps > Logitech G Hub > Uninstall
  2. Delete these folders manually (optional): C:\Program Files\LGHUB\ C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\LGHUB\
  3. Restart your PC
  4. Reinstall the latest version from: https://www.logitechg.com/ghub

After Reset

  • Your mouse will revert to default DPI levels (typically 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400)
  • Lighting will return to fixed color or breathing mode
  • Button mappings will revert to standard inputs (left/right click, scroll, DPI shift)

Notes

  • If you’re using Onboard Memory Mode, resetting G Hub profiles won’t affect the mouse—use Option 1 instead
  • Resetting is helpful for troubleshooting, starting over, or switching users
  • Make sure to back up custom profiles if you plan to reuse them later
