Problem
Your G502 mouse is cycling through unexpected DPI levels or feels too fast/slow, and you want to reset the DPI settings back to default or configure them from scratch.
Solution
You can reset or customize your DPI levels using Logitech G Hub or via hardware reset if you’re using onboard memory. The default DPI settings typically include values like 400, 800, 1600, 3200, and 6400.
Option 1: Reset DPI in Logitech G Hub
1. Open G Hub
- Download or open from: https://www.logitechg.com/ghub
- Click on your G502 mouse
2. Go to the DPI (Sensitivity) Tab
- Click the DPI or Sensitivity icon (often a crosshair symbol)
- You’ll see a list of active DPI levels and a graph
3. Reset to Default
- Manually set the following common default values:
- 400
- 800
- 1600 (highlighted as default)
- 3200
- 6400
- You can delete unnecessary levels by clicking the trash icon
- To reset fully, click “Restore Defaults” (if available)
DPI Shift (sniper) can also be configured here by assigning a lower DPI value with a held button.
Option 2: Use Onboard Memory Mode
If you’re using the mouse without G Hub, it will rely on pre-saved onboard memory profiles.
To reset these:
- Open G Hub > Gear icon ⚙️ > Onboard Memory
- Choose a profile slot
- Set or reset DPI levels as desired
- Click Save to Device
You can now unplug the mouse and use those settings anywhere.
Option 3: Hardware Reset (Quick Restore)
To hard reset onboard memory and DPI:
- Unplug or power off the mouse
- Hold down:
- Left Click + Right Click + DPI Up
- Plug the mouse back in or power it on
- Hold for 5 seconds, then release
This restores default DPI stages and button assignments.
Notes
- DPI changes are saved per profile in G Hub
- You can assign a button to cycle DPI levels or switch directly to a specific DPI
- Disabling unused DPI stages helps avoid accidental switches
