Problem
You want to customize the mouse sensitivity (DPI) on your Logitech G502 for gaming or general use—setting different DPI levels, ranges, or switching speed between them.
Solution
The DPI (dots per inch) setting controls how fast your cursor moves relative to your hand movement. With Logitech G Hub, you can set multiple DPI levels and adjust them per profile.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open Logitech G Hub
- Download or open from: https://www.logitechg.com/ghub
- Select your G502 mouse from the device list
2. Go to the DPI Settings Panel
- Click the “Sensitivity (DPI)” tab on the left
- You’ll see a graph with sliders for multiple DPI stages
3. Configure DPI Levels
- You can define up to 5 DPI levels
- Use the slider or input box to set each DPI value (from 100 to 25,600 DPI depending on the model)
- Example configuration:
- DPI 1: 400 (sniping)
- DPI 2: 800 (normal)
- DPI 3: 1600 (fast)
- DPI 4: 2400 (ultra fast)
- DPI 5: 3200+

You can remove or add levels by clicking the “+” or trash can icons.
4. Assign a DPI Cycle or Shift Button
- Click on the Assignments tab
- Select a button on the G502 (usually one near the thumb or scroll wheel)
- Assign it to:
- DPI Cycle – cycles through preset DPI levels
- DPI Shift – temporarily switches to a specific DPI while held down

This lets you change sensitivity on the fly during games or tasks.
5. Save to Profile or Onboard Memory
- DPI settings are saved per profile
- You can also save your DPI settings to the onboard memory if you plan to use the mouse on another PC without G Hub
Tips
- For FPS gaming, many players prefer a lower DPI (e.g., 400–800) for precision
- For productivity, a higher DPI (e.g., 1600–2400) helps with quick desktop navigation
- Use different DPI for different profiles (e.g., gaming vs. Photoshop)
Notes
- Some models let you change the DPI increment from 50 to 100 steps
- DPI settings do not affect in-game sensitivity unless synced
- Always test DPI settings in-game to fine-tune them to your preference
